Personally, my older unsupported Macs are still running Snow Leopard, Mavericks, El Capitan, and Sierra, and only the latest machines will run Mojave for my particular setup, but to each their own, and it’s undoubtedly cool that Dosdude has consistently come up with utilities like this to get various versions of Mac OS system software running. I have a 2008 Mac Pro (3,1). Dual 2.8Ghz quadcores, 64GB RAM, and a 2 TB internal SSD. I was running El Capitan and opted to put in @dosdude1 's High Sierra patch in order to be able to run some newer software I couldn’t run on El Capitan. Following his website's instructions, I ended up installing from a 32GB USB thumb drive.

Adobe CC is updating to a new '2019' set, and it will not support El Cap anymore.
Before I move CC over to my spare 2012 Mac Mini or my Win 10 box, I did some searching and found that someone had created a patcher that allowed for High Sierra to install and run on a 2008 3,1:

I'm going to give it a shot at some point soon, since I'd like to get some more service out of this old puppy... at least until Apple decides to make a new Mac Pro I can live with, etc.
Has anyone here done this? I'm specifically interested in how it actually performs vs. a supported OS like El Cap.
I have an SSD for my boot drive, and 32gigs RAM, so pretty much anything I throw at it fro my work is not a problem, aside from some point-heavy Illustrator stuff.
Thanks!
